Hey Mark,
Just wanted to say hi!
I'm currently in Iran and about to head through to Pakistan in the next week. Loving it but wearing these hideous clothes makes it blimin hard work. 9 countries down...10 more to go!

Hello
Hiya,

Great Trip anmd great bog. It must have been great. Can I ask about gear - what brand/modle of bikes did you ride and what gear did you take? You probably receive lots of messages like this - so I'll wait till you get a chance to reply. I'd really like to hear about your trip - as I'd love to do a simialr trip with my son.

Talk of the devil
My husband and I were just talking about you last night while remeniscing about our time in london and who should I see on the news this morning.Unfortunately I missed most of the interview but when your sons name was put on the scene I realise it was you. Well done for such a great journey, you always said you'd take your kids travelling. I have also travelled extensively over the past few years and have definately got the travel bug. My husband Martin is always on to me to go to Japan. Anyway nice to catch up on your whereabouts.

Promoting responsible tourism
Hello Mark and Sam

Congratulations on your fantastic achievement.

I've created a website to help people get and share ideas for holidays that are more ethical/responsible/sustainable than most and I'd be delighted if you'd add some information about your trip. While cycling to Japan might be more than most people would attempt, I'm sure website visitors would be interested to read about your trip and you might have some useful tips to share.

To make an entry (it doesn't have to be long), please go to acleanbreak dot org dot uk, click on the Holidays tab and then on the Add Your Holiday Ideas link and you'll be taken to a simple form which you can complete.

Thank you in advance and well done again.

Rachel

Hi and congratulations!
Mark/Sam, just sent you a message but i included my blog and so got a message back that wasnt clear whether my message was sent or not! so apologies if repeating myself! We are the 2 british cyclists you met in Tehran, Tracey had had an accident and we were waiting for her knee to heal. Have read your blog and wanted to say congratulations to you both for reaching Japan and in such speed!! It is an incredible achievement and you should both be very proud. We will have a beer in your honour tonight. Traceys knee did heal and we travelled through Iran and Pakistan to India and then south to Chennai where we were able to get a boat to Thailand. So far we have not had to fly, which keeps our dream of around the world over land and sea alive. We are in Phnom Pehn and will head to Saigon and then north to Hanoi. I will pick your blog from there for tips but if you have any really good advice it would be really appreciated. Congratulations again and enjoy your celebrations!!! james_littlewood@yahoo.co.uk

Congratulations!
I'm so happy, that you have made it! You and my Waldorf class have met in Makó, Hungary, in sept.2008. Then we followed your trip via internet. What's next, South America or Africa? Congratulations again and thank you for sharing philosophical thoughts in your blog!

Awesome blog
Hey Mark, just read your 'Why not Fly?' blog and you have hit the nail on the head... one thing I noticed is that you seem to be jumping from Tehran to Cochin - just wondering how you were doing that? By boat? If so, is that because of the turmoil there? Cheers and good luck for the rest of your journey! Travis.

Hiya
Just read the blog for the first time. It's great!
You're making me envious again - can't wait for my trip to Spain. Missing you both. xx
