Local Tips - try and speak the language, even if you are crap at it, it generally ensures you get a warmer reception from the locals.
Day Trip
Take a day trip to Versailles. If you are fit and able, do the Fat Tire Bike Tours. It seemed to be an American run company as there were a lot of Americans on and running the tour. It was an awesome day and the best way to see versailles by far! You don't need to be superfit, the pace is comfortable and the guides were well informed, very polite, and worked their butts off to make it an enjoyable and comfortable day for everyone. A must do! If the bike tour is not your thing, don't miss Versailles, but do join a tour if you go, Versailles is big and would be very hard to navigate on your own.
Paris
Such an amazing city, leave a good 4 days to explore it if you can, and make sure you wander around as much as you can at night - the city is at its most magical at night - in my view anyways :-)
