In freo I would recommend Bennys on the "cappucino strip" for a good feed and later on the place cranks up for the nightlife. Pubs are Sail and Anchor , Norflok , Little Creatures and Newport. All have their character.

If you want a place to stay the Esplanade is central but also try the Tradewinds which just got done up and the pub really looks good.

If you have heaps of cash go to the new Raffles hotel on the river top spot but also was the first pub in Perth to charge $10 aussie for a pint of beer!! Now common in alot of trendy pubs as Perth is now in a boom so they love to rip into you. The older local pubs still are good value. If you want a cheap beer (1970"s Prices) go to Seaview golf club and say Joffa sent you. Its right on the beach in Cottesloe but you need to have a collared shirt ond shoes....

Perth has heaps of good golf courses and if you want a challenge go to Port Kennedy which is rated as the number 1 public access course in Oz. Take heaps of golf balls as it is horror off the fairway.....
