Trav (Co Founder) Read his blog

Whether it’s coincidence or not that Trav ended up creating a business around his namesake, it’s no coincidence that he loves his travel. After leaving Australia 4 years ago to live in the UK where he spent 3.5 years, he now resides in Vienna, Austria after meeting a lovely Austrian Frau in Barcelona during one of his many escapades throughout Europe. Trav is an Engineer with a background spanning many industries, including the Public Sector – Water (Australia & UK), Auto Component Manufacturing and the UK Rail Industry. Trav’s passion is to enjoy life. The past 4 years have taught him many things, most importantly that travel and communication are an essential part of sharing experiences with friends and family from around the world. He is also Shawn's younger brother and still believes he was adopted so please don't tell him otherwise ;)

Travis working hard!

Shawn with Big Ben Shawn (Co Founder) Read his blog

Shawn has a background in Banking and Finance working more than 7 years for the National Australia Bank Group. He moved to London in 2000 where he spent more than 5 years working for a leading Venture Capital firm investing in many sectors including his passion Media and Technology in the UK and the USA. He has travelled to 36 Countries, experienced 4 Christmas's snowboarding (rare for a Cairns lad) and with only 2 continents remaining untravelled has vowed not to settle down until he has visited all 7 (South America and Antarctica remain). He returned home in early 2007 to Cairns, arguably the Adventure capital of Australia (and it smells much nicer than London!).
Nimpy

After getting his nickname 'Nimpy' after an escapade of chasing down a criminal and making a 'citizens arrest' for the Czech Police, Danny earned the name 'N.I.M.P.Y' (Not In My Praha) and like all good Aussie nicknames a 'Y' was added on the end! This epic crash tackle was a throwback to Danny's first overseas trip as a member of the heralded Under 11 Toowoomba Rugby League Representative Team tour of NZ. It was also one of many adventures that Nimpy has stuffed under his belt in the past 5 years since realising (13 years too late) that his sporting prowess did actually peak at age 11, and then post-uni he moved to live and work throughout the UK and is still going strong. As a senior practitioner/ therapist working with needy English youngsters and families by day, he quietly accumulates TOIL and delights in the endless people-watching opportunities his alter-ego as a keen traveller and travel-writer afford him. Danny is also passionate about learning from and about other cultures to complement his earlier university studies and community development work in Indigenous issues in Australia.

Cowboy Brendan!
Bundalls

Bundalls started travelling straight out of High School, taking a GAP year in the ideallic setting of Englands Lakes District. He returned home to obtain a degree in Economics and an Arts Degree, Majoring in Japanese language and studies. Not feeling the love from these studies, he embarked on a career in Hospitality and was a part of the Pre-opening team for the landmark Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast where his role as Chief Concierge allowed him to share in and create travel experiences for his guests. After 6 years at the Hotel, Brendan again moved overseas and is currently living and working in Ireland.

Johnboy

Johnboy grew up in Queensland and has been in the UK since early 2000. After the pain of losing the Ashes, he is pleased to have secured dual citizenship so he can never lose them again. John travels extensively, having first caught the bug at school on a study trip to Japan. He has completed many long distance hikes in several countries, still chases PBs in marathons, and practises his Spanish at any opportunity. John is a physio and pilates instructor in London, and is also undertaking a Masters of Pain Science.

Lakey the Cowboy Lakey

Lakey grew up in Radelaide exploring Australia with his family from a young age. Being an avid surfer, searching out new waves and meeting new new people became a natural part of life. His corrupted childhood of playing in a hardcore band and travelling Australia in his panel van didn't stop him from earning an honours degree in Industrial Design. Now, with over 7 years experience working across the product, graphic, web & photography fields he is now working as a senior creative project manager for a leading London Design agency. His most recent escapade took him across Canada, USA and Mexico before finally resting in London where he is currently living in Kangaroo Valley.

Noakes

Matthew has degrees in both Commerce and Economics and like Shawn, prefers not to be called an Accountant. However his qualification as a Chartered Accountant and over 8 years working as an accountant in Practice, Banking and Commerce industries, make it difficult for him to deny the inevitable. His financial experience has been gained working for many organisations including international organisations such as Deutsche Bank and Business Objects. Matthew developed a love for travel and experiencing other cultures from a young age and this continued whilst living in London for 4 years, before moving to Canada where he currently resides.
Noakes and the Koala
Lawzy and her teddy Lawzy

Lawzy's love of holidays started with sunny camping trips, and summers spent at the Gold Coast. University was spent dreaming of an overseas adventure, yet when she finally graduated with Distinction in Marketing & PR majors from a Business Degree she was snapped up by the Queensland Museum, and suddenly got very aquainted with 200 million year-old dinosaurs - favourite being the Diprotodon optatum (a wombat the size of a rhinoceros). From there she went on to market the craziest animal of all Steve Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter and Australia Zoo. After a couple of amazing years travelling and catching crocodiles (yes, really) all over the world promoting the Irwin's conservation causes, she finally swapped the real reptiles, for the equally scary London tube reptiles.
