If you look really close on the right between the last column and the rock missing the column there is a person for scale - they do not even come up to the start of the column!! Baalbek is the ancient site in Lebanon.  It is inland from Beirut and near the Syrian border.  It is an amazing site to explore and the size of some of the ruins are breath taking....
