well malaysia didnt start off too well! we arrived in kuala lumpur into a nice little hotel in the centre, even though it was raining!!!!! we need the sun!!!!
The first day started fine.... up nice and early we went to the petrona towers(used to be the tallest in the world and where they filmed entrapment with sean connery a few years back) cool place with a massive shopping mall there! ended up eating some dodgy korean hot pot at night, we were given loads of raw food and we would cook it ourselves in a massive pot of boiling water in the middle of our table! this is where we think our troubles began!
next morning my stomach(ali) was in bits! all we managed to do was go to the cinema back in the petrona towers then that was it!
following morning anna joins me on the sick list!!!!! so its another visit to the petrona tower cinema!!! how exciting are we!!!!!!!!
so never really thought much of kuala lumpur even though all we seen was the towers and some freezing cinemas!!!
we both felt good for our flights up to penang which was a cool island on the north west coast of malaysia, managed to get a nice little room right on the beach! we attempted to save money and only went for a fan room! first and last time that happens, the sheets were soaked in sweat by morning!
chilled out on the beach for a few days trying to catch what little sun there was!
finally found some sun in langkawi( another island 2 hours on the boat north of penang) so all we did was sunbathe for 4 days!!!!! the tan has finally started to come on!!!oh and we hired a moped and did a tour of the island, getting caught in a severe downpour of rain on the way!!
bye bye malaysia, vietnam here we come!!!!!!!!!
