Israel

Send me a message or share this blog with your friends -
We have had a great week in Israel to round off our time in the Middle East. Made it over the border with no problems, but could definitely see the security here - a lot of young people (some in uniform, some not) carrying big guns, many checkpoints and heavy security at hotels and shops! It is definitely an interesting place with the different cultures and religions living side by side. We enjoyed visiting Jerusalem, and travelling round quite a few places in both Israel & West Bank. We visited Bethlehem to see Jesus' birthplace, went swimming in the Sea of Galilee near Nazareth and floated in the Dead Sea. We ended up in Tel Aviv which is very different to Jerusalem and we enjoyed seeing the Med again! We did manage to get sick during our time here, but happy to report we are fit and well and ready to hit South America. We are now 3 weeks into our trip & fly to Rio on Tuesday!!!
