Paul headed first for Pohnpei, to a new surf camp. Picture a dot of land about 2,000 miles east of the Philippines. Small plane journey, island hopping from Guam. Rain, humidity, grass huts. Was an important site during WWII and left with many ruins. Surf was OK, but a long way to go for patchy. Bob II (the new red surfboard) went along reluctantly, stashed into planes and shoved around, but got a bit of a workout on arrival.
Biggest highlight was the 80kg tuna caught in the island fishing comp.
