Decided to go to Slovenia for the 4 day long weekend (even though we are permanently on a weekend) and just before the turn off decided we really could do with a few days R&R on a Croatian beach for Nick's birthday.  So we headed right instead of left.  Over the border (which saw our 1st official border crossing and got a stamp in the passports) to a gorgeous sunset and did a little sight seeing for the next 2 days along the Istra Coast.  We stopped in Novigrad, Porec and Vrsar before heading inland to Opatija and Rijeka.  Found a beautiful little campsite right on the ocean called Kraljevica and didn't move for a day and a half.  It was great...a real little paradise with nothing around but a few locals.  Off to Slovenia tomorrow.
