NLL Reverse Raffle

The Club's favourite mid-season function was back again this year - The NLL Reverse Raffle. And what a day it was! The 4 lads from Kiss made a special appearance to compare the show. Clarence got around early to warm up the crowd and set the tone for the day. As the first rounds of losers were drawn out, the games began for a few lucky losers to get back in the race. Through the day there were raw fish captured from water tanks using only the mouth; onion eating comps; beetroot juice skulled; raw eggs downed; plastic animals fished out from tubs of baked beans, just to mention a few of the frivolities. The other entertainment, the vocal kind, was just as good with Trav's mate doing a great job in belting out some classic tunes. Even Big Karl got up and treated the crowd to his dulcett tones whilst dressed up as Gene Simmons. It was a special moment... which was promptly contrasted by another one of the President's rambling speeches. Onya Dico!

Back to the comp and Nadsy had to shave an eyebrow in order to get back into the last 10, and then managed to survive down to the last 2. His oponent was the Fridge who was desparate to get his hands on the first prize of £1000. The last round was intense but it was Fridge who emerged the eventual winner.

By the end of the day, there were many drinks consumed, many fortunes won & lost and even some memorable tantrums thrown. It really was an awesome day! A big thanks to everyone involved in running it, especially big Trav Fernee, who provided much of the days entertainment (both directly and indirectly).
