My Tips To Plan An Active Travel

Share this blog with your friends -
Below the points i love to consider while planning a vacation and a guide to identify the key elements.

Once you've decided what activity, it's time to choose where practice that activity.

There are common rules to follow like asking friends, choosing a random place in the world map, receive advices from a travel agent, search on the net for tips or ideas.

The next step is to find detailed info on the destination.

You could read detailed magazines, guide books or websites.

The general rule I follow is to search on youtube.com for some videos or trips notes to have a clear view of what it will be.

You'll have to plan what type of accessories, gear and clothing you'll need to carry with you.

Be sure to pack at least this essential list of accessories:

    * Anti-bacterial cream
    * Anti-diarrhea medicine
    * Batteries
    * Walking shoes
    * Bug repellent
    * Gloves
    * Hat
    * Rain poncho
    * Socks
    * Torch

Here some tips to find the right local travel operator to choose a service:

    * See how much detailed are their trips dossier
    * See if they respect the Ecotourism standards
    * Have a direct contact: chat, mail
    * Search on popular travel website if they had bad reviews

Suggested Destinations:
(Thanks to the adventure tour association, a nonprofit website focused on tips to plan an adventure vacation)

Luang Prabang - This charming city in Laos has a great atmosphere. It is a bit difficult to reach, yet many tourists have found their way there. Up till now, however, it remains a relaxed place to be. And it has many interesting temples, good scenery over the mekong river, and nearby waterfalls and other. We had a marvellous time here.

Bukit Lawang, Indonesia - From Medan in North Sumatra, Indonesia, a terrible bus ride brings us in Bukit Lawang. It is where the Oran Utan rehabilitation centre is found. But there are more activities in and around this village.

Yangshuo, China - This typical Chinese village has become a backpackers' paradise. Beautiful scenery, many activities, good budget hostels, and a laid-back atmosphere.

Cesky Krumlov - In the Czech Republic, this medieval village is surrounded by a winding river. It has a beautiful castle, several museums, good hiking and other activities, and hostels.

Lake Tana - In the north of Ethiopia, Lake Tana is near the origin of the Nile, and near the blue Nile falls. On an island in the lake are some old koptic churches. We stay at a campsite next to the lake, from where we spot monkeys, pelicans, sea eagles and other wildlife where we didn't expect it.
