ACCRA - GHANA I went to Ghana on a one week business trip. I flew by Afriquiya Airlines who were about 50% cheaper than the other carriers like Lufthansa, British Airways, Ghana International, KLM etc. They were fine and the staff were good but Tripoli was not the best place for a 2hr stopover. Don't do what I do and listen to people who say you can get a visa on arrival - you used to be able ...

RE-ENTRY PROBLEMSAug 17, 2009
RE-ENTRY PROBLEMS After a long trip it can be difficult to get your head back into your 'normal' life back home; friends, work, studying, accommodation, cars, local money, bills; it can all be a bit of a minefield. TOKYO - The Final FrontierYes we have made it. 15,685km - nearly 10,000 cycling miles and yes it was worth it.I feel super-fit (or at least I did before the celebrations started), I feel fulfilled and I feel much closer to my son. I also understand myself far better and know what I need to do to live my life better. Whether I manage to do that of course remains to be seen, but I feel sure that at ...

Why Not Fly?Apr 26, 2009
Mark, Scarlett & Steve in India at Christmas (mid-trip).
Flying is good for bringing friends together. But the ones who cycle there experience more on the way, and value seeing their friends at the end far more than the ones who
Why Not Fly? A number of people have asked us this question about this trip. This is my answer: It is a journey of around 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometres) depending on the route. You can fly from London to Tokyo in around 14 Hours and it will cost you anything from around 500 GB Pounds upwards. During these 14 boring hours you will see little but clouds, eat plastic food and have orange jui...
