Destinations I visited in this blog: ( View full size map)
Wow too much to report for my time living in Canada, and I've joined this blogsite too late to report on it all. I'm just going to put up a few pics for those of you who haven't yet seen them.
Highlights * Visit to Ucluelet to see Hannah, John and new(ish) addition to the house, baby Eva Belle. It was nice to return to a different part of Vancouver Island and see new scenery. * Mt Norquay- Work as a lifty, where else can you work where you arrive either hungover, or worse still drunk from the night before! Fun people, writing songs, gossiping, and a little snowboarding thrown in too! Broken arms, broken toes, pathetic pay, but gee it was a nice mind numbing break from teaching! * Banff Ave house- The biggest house of misfits! A house that was falling apart, a toilet that hadn't been cleaned for (one could suspect) years, and a house where the open door policy certainly was in working order and everyone knew it! No matter what time of the day of night something was happening, but with 7 in the house one could expect that! Oh and there was never a dull moment- we came to the rescue of each other, literally in some circumstances! * Snowboarding trips- Ah to break away from the Banff scene to hit the slopes. Magic! * Anzac Day- Our broken down house on Banff Ave joined forces with our roommates to put on a little Anzac day celebration. It was more drinking than it was commemorating, but we did enforce a good minute's silence. The two up ring was prepared too, alas we were too busy drinking to make use of it! * Salty Bear Tour a trip I took which travelled around Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Did a brewery tour that is more of a cabaret than an informative session, ate fresh rock lobsters (mmmmm), took a hike to see whales, and a whale tour to see moose (something wrong there, but that's how it transpired!) and learned never to steal the blanket off a karate blackbelt holder! (ha ha, personal joke, Matt will understand!) Met some great new friends who I know I will stay in touch with for some time to come! * And much, much more; Ottawa tulip festival, White-water rafting Ottawa river ('the buseater!' Wow! Cant belive we made it through in one piece!), Cycling in Mt Tremblant, return to Montreal (in the Summer!)
