I Left the UK on the 19/04/07 which was really sad but also exciting.
My first stop was the Big Apple. I hadnt organised a airport transfer so once i arrived in I had to wait for about 1hr until the next Airport Shuttle arrived. I met a nice Scott5ish guy on the bus and had a nice chat.
My hotel was really nice, huge rooms with the biggest bed I have seen. I could have got lost in it!! hehehe
The next day was off the Niagia and it was awesome. Just look at the photos. it was soo cold and really iced over. Just amazing. Although very commerical and in that asepct I prefer Vic Fall in Africa. It was a day trip, so i meet some really nce people - two guys from the UK my age and we hung out the whole day.
The few days after i just spent walking around NY and seeing all the sights. Everything is huge, they dont do anything second rated. I went and saw Mama Mia, an excellent show and everyone should see it.
Next stop was Vegas. Vegas was different, very showy. I just walked through all the hotels and did some shopping. The best part of my days in Vegas was the Grand Canyon and staying on a Ranch. It was excellent and soooo very big. I stayed in a Teepee, sat around the camp fire and loved it.
LA was the final stop for my trip and i once again but a great hotel and the weather was really nice. I sun baked the afternoon i arrived and the next few days doing the typical tours of stars homes, and all the major sights. I went to DisneyLand and went on all the rollercosta rides. The last day there i went to Santa Monica and Venice Beach and had a great time.
The night i was flying out, all turned into drama - my flight was cancelled so i ended up at the Hilton for a night without bags and flew up late the next day. I then had to spent a night in Fiji, which was only about 2hours worth of sleep because of organising the next morning flight. I finally arrived in Sdyney a day late and then my final flight into Adelaide.
A great time and like everyone said, America the food is huge and fatty and they dont do anything half heartedly. Nice people though!!
