G'Day Friends!
So the internet's been down and out for a bit, so it's been a longggg time since i've posted new photos. I've been up to quite a bit since I last posted - lots of weekend trips and nights out on the town with friends.
The first weekend trip (back in Sept!) was to Wellington, the nation's capital! I had a great time there, it's a really nice city on the harbour front. I did a bit of shopping, took a cruise around the harbour, and even saw my first live rugby game! A few weeks later, I went to New Plymouth for a girls' weekend away from Palmy. We went to see a mate of ours play (roller) hockey and got to explore a new place.
Last month, I got the opportunity to travel to Kapiti Island, a nature reserve not far from Wellington. It was a pretty awesome place - beautiful scenery, lots of rare native birds... and we were lucky enough to have great weather too!
Finally - I took a trip to Rotorua for the labour day long weekend (in October, weird, I know!) It was quite touristy, but a cool place to see. Lots of "geothermal activity" so you can be walking down the street and come across areas with steam coming off of the water and boiling mud pools! Also... the whole town kinda smells like someone farted, hahaha. I treated myself to a "Polynesian Spa" treatment - a massage and a soak in the mineral pools.
I'm now down to my last month and a half working at IPC - I've had a great time here and it's been an awesome experience, but i'm really looking forward to packing up, and doing some serious travelling! The itin for "Angie & Paul's NZ Christmas Adventure" is well under way!
Hope all is well back home, the time has finally come for NZ weather to be warmer than Canada weather (not that i'm bragging or anything...)
