Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe recommendation
|
If you are considering visiting Victoria Falls, it is best to read all government travel recommendations before booking any trip. If you have decided to go, take notice that when I attended you could not pay for anything via credit card or withdraw money from any banking facility.
The locals are accepting US$ for payment of things which is not legal but is accepted.

Portsmouth, England recommendation
|
Portsmouth is the naval harbour of England that houses an excellent Maritime Museum, with the highlight being the MARY ROSE.
The Mary Rose was raised off the sea bed recently and is now being restored so as it can be viewed and remembered for it formal glory.
To get to Portsmouth it's a quick 1-2 hour train ride from London that will cost approximately £20 off peak and drop you right next to the museum....

New York, United States of America recommendation

The land of the 'Big Apple' as they call it, and what a city and who doesn't want to go there. So much to do with all the typical tourist attractions that a guide book can offer.
Some small tips:
- Book accomodation over the web with a short stay apartment (http://newyork.craigslist.org/).
- Spend a whole day in Hyde Park.
- Take a 15min helicopter ride over NY instaed of going up the Empire State Building
- Stay away from Coyote Ugly Saloon Bar unless your completly desperate. It's really bad...

Auschwitz, Poland recommendation

Whilst travelling around Europe visiting the big cities of each country you should venture a little of track to see the smaller places that are of great significance.
Auschwitz is undoubtedly one of those places. For the locals it is unfortunately known for one of the most inhuman world events that has ever occurred.
My advice to anyone who wishes to visit the site is to attend alone and not with a tour group or even with your closest friends. It is a place where you don't want to be distract...

Bilbao, Spain recommendation

Hola, A venture to Bilbao is a trip for one reason and one reason only, to see one of the most fascinating buildings in the World, 'The Guggenheim Museum'.
It can all be described as an architect's dream (Frank O'Gehry), a builder's nightmare, a government's political statement, a world renowned landmark and a local communites over-expenditure....
The building is extraordinarily amazing, although the internal spaces lack a little something...... like artwork and exhibit pieces. To be honest ...
