The East Coast of Australia (Cairns to Sydney) is a well worn road for many travellers who hire/buy a car and self drive up or down the Coast. For those of you who have the time and the inclination to do so it's definitely worth the experience. The West Coast of Australia is equally magnificent however can be expensive to get to given the distance.

However to simply just do the Reef, Rock and Opera House would mean you have missed the best bits in between!
