Marrakesh Highlights (Edit)
Marrakech has got the hustle and bustle of Bangkok however, the people are a lot more friendly and you can have fun while bartering as they are pretty good humoured. They will always put the hard sell on you but are more than happy to help translate English into Arabic to a taxi driver who has no idea what Train Station means. It's one of those places where the smells and sounds make up half the experience. Walking through the souks (markets) and smelling all the spices or the leather goods and sitting in a cafe enjoying a mint tea.Stay at a lovely traditional Moroccan Riad or guest house. Once you get your bearings and used to the motorbikes passing through tight alleyways and within an inch of us start exploring the restaurant stalls in the main square. Be sure to check out Medersa (where the students of the Mosque used to live) and the Marrakesh Museum.
If you need a break call into a cafe and have a mint tea and chill out for a bit.
For an easy day trip catch the bus down to Essaouria. It is a lot more relaxed than Marrakech and was a lot cooler being on the coast.
