Wellington Highlights (Edit)
Wellington is full of things to do. Here is some of the best that I have done.To get the best view of the city go up Mount Vic, there is a look out there and also a bit of info about the country.
Te Papa is a must do to find out everything about the past and present of New Zealand. There are audio guides in English, German, Japanese and even Maori.
The botanical gardens are amazing and is a really nice walk around. You can take the cable car straight up there from the city centre. The cable car also has great views overlooking the city a different agle from Mount Vic.
If you like a bit of a walk, head around Oriental Parade. It goes around the hills with the water on the side all the way around. There are lots of cafes and restuarants. This is the scenic route to get to the airport.
Wellington has a huge cafe culture, so if you are looking for something to eat or a great coffee, you are spoilt for choice. I suggest you head to Lambton Key or around Cuba and Manners mall/st area. This is also where alot of the shops are too.
For dinner, there are nice places along Courtney place. This is where the Theatures are also.
