Cusco Highlights (Edit)

Cusco is the gateway to Macchu Picchu. All tour run up to the famous Inca Ruins start here and if a trek isnŽt your thing you still have to come here to catch the train up.

If your English and missing your creature comforts from home you should definitely hit The Real McCoy. It has everything from Cheese and Branston Pickle Sarnies to Banoffee Pie. Mmmm!

There are heaps of places to drink in Cusco and the competition is fierce. YouŽll find touts standing out the front of the bars giving you free drink vouchers to lure you in. The ones that I frequented were Mama Africa, Up Town and Cross Creeks. If your staying at Loki Hostel you tend to drink there with the other guests and head out somewhere together.

The average cost of a beer is around 7-10 soles for a grande cerveza which works out at $2-3USD.

If your stint on money there are heaps of places that offer a tourist menu with 2-3 courses for 10-15 soles so $3-5USD. Just ask for the tourist menu.
