Krakow is an unbelievable city in Poland.  Apparently the main city square is the largest in Europe.

For any traveller who appreciates getting to a destination that hasn't been found by hords of tourists, this is an ideal destination for the next couple of years.

The bar/club scene is great...mostly underground bars so don't let coming here in winter turn you off...if anything...it makes it even better because you get to experience the wonderful of magic of krakow in winter (and the winter markets in the main square).

This place is affordable for any budget.

The Auschwitz & Salt Mine tours come highly recommended with travellers saying they are well worth the money and both amazing experiences. The Auschwitz tour also visits Birkenau briefly, however if you want to buy a book about either camp, buy it at the Auschwitz bookshop as the Birkenau bookshop is not open every day.

For the yummiest hot chocolate EVER, visit Redolfi Cafe located around the edge of Main Market Square. It's so thick you can stand your spoon up in it!!
