Kruger National Park Highlights (Edit)
The Big Five.... Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino - you are sure to see in your safari in the Kruger National Park!If driving into Kruger for a day trip, rise early to be at the gate for opening time as there are daily quotas of cars permitted entry. I'd also recommend then driving into the park in the morning, relaxing atone of the internal resorts/restaurants, and then driving back in theevening. This is when the animals will be most active and visible.

If there is one thing you have to do if heading up to the Kruger it is taking a 2 day trip (or more) to Elephant Plains game reserve.
The area is also known for its incredible bird and plant life. Where elsewill you be able as a beginning bird watcher to identify more than 50different birds in one day? Only here! And within a couple of hours, itis possible to identify at least 30 different trees and shrubs.
The landscapes are also amazing. Around the one corner you see the most beautiful gorge, while around another you are just struck by the views on the Limpopo river. And don't forget that at any time you drive here, an elephant can cross your way.
