San Francisco Highlights (Edit)

San Francisco (travellers like to call it San Fran...but the locals don't quite agree) is everything everyone says it is, the golden gate bridge is just amazing, and the public transport getting there is easy as.

A couple of must see's is Alcatraz, make sure you get one of the first boats out, cos it can get pretty crowded.  Also near by is the Levis shop which has all the history on Levis, don't think many people go there.

We did the hop on hop of bus, i highly recommend doing in any city, you see the key points, get there easily and learn some history at the same time.

Lunch on the wharf was lovely as well,but I have to say we where lucky the weather was good.

Parking is very expensive if you have a rental car, so consider staying somewhere where parking is included.

San Francisco is a great hub to travel out to the surrounding areas like the Napa Valley (Wine region).  San Francisco has a real cultural feeling to the place and everyone here is super fit...just take a walk down to the parks over the weekends and you'll cyclists, roller bladders etc taking advantage of the great weather.
