My pick of all the Greek Islands I visited was Paros Island. I ended up here quite by accident as it was a compulsory stopover enroute to my next destination, Samos Island which is a hop, skip and jump away from Turkey!

If you fancy an island that is small, doesn't have hoard loads of tourists and is relatively inexpensive in comparison then go to Paros Island in the Cyclades for sure!

We stayed in Krios Beach Camping Ground which is 2km out of town. Don't let that put you off though....distance was not an issue. We were met by Niko at the port and the camping ground provided a shuttle bus service for whenever you felt the need to go into town.  

I had my own tent but no worries if you don't. You can rent a tent. The cabins were pretty good too!

The camping ground also had kitchen facilities (including a fridge!), hot HOT showers, dining and (we hee!) a BBQ area. The very best of all though was that they provided internet and it was FREE! I welcomed this with opened arms as I had been struggling to pay the going rate of 4 euros an hour elsewhere in Greece.

The beach itself was awesome. Sandy, quiet and well equipped with heaps of hammocks, sun loungers and these cool floating chairs - that even came with a drinks holder!
Couldn't ask for much more.

If I ever return to the Greek Isles, Paros Island will certainly be topping my list!
