Travelling in a group tour, such as with 'Tim the Tourman'  keeps the costs down quite considerably as Iceland can be quite an expensive place.

I found the place fantastic and unlike anything else in the world. Must sees are the Thermal pools, Northern Lights and a 4x4 trip up to the glaciers. Seeing the Northern lights can be touch and go as it can never be guaranteed. Don't expect to see it as bright as you do in the photos as it looks nothing like it and they have all been digitally enhanced like mine attached. If you plan on taking photographs of it, make sure you read up on it before hand, as specialised settings are required on your camera with long time exposures.
