Bilbao travel review & recommendations by tonyveal

Hola, A venture to Bilbao is a trip for one reason and one reason only, to see one of the most fascinating buildings in the World, 'The Guggenheim Museum'.

It can all be described as an architect's dream (Frank O'Gehry), a builder's nightmare, a government's political statement, a world renowned landmark and a local communites over-expenditure....

The building is extraordinarily amazing, although the internal spaces lack a little something...... like artwork and exhibit pieces. To be honest the building is a glorified art piece itself which is amazing to walk through, but you would hate to have your own artwork there, as nobody would look at it. Unfortunately you can't take photos inside, but it is just as spectacular as the outside.

In general though, Bilbao was a great place to visit and walking the streets is very pleasant.

One other highlight to do whilst there is to visit a spa resort hotel to make the trip that little more enjoyable.
