'Gallipoli Peninsular' is a pretty special place to us Antipodeans. After all it is the backbone of the ANZAC legend.

Whether you visit in a tour or as I did by myself, if you ever get a chance to go snorkelling or diving at Anzac Cove then do it!

There are about 200 ships wrecked on this Turkish coastline and about 100m out from the Anzac commentorative site is the wreck 'Milo'. You don't need to be a strong swimmer to go snorkelling so fear not!

Snorkelling Anzac Cove was the best treasure hunt of my life. It was astounding to find so many bullets still laying about in shallow sandy waters. It just goes to show you how much ammunition was fired in this battle.

Any one of the hostels will organise a snorkelling tour for you. Crowded House is a good place to stay at Eceabat. They will organise for you to be picked up and taken to Anzac Cove in the morning when the water is magic - and ghostly - all at the same time.
