This recommendation is not so much about a particular place or tour but a general travelling tip that has proved invaluable to me.

I don't know about you, but more often than not I really hate being a standout tourist in a foreign country!

The majority of us travellers all carry a version of a 'Travel Bible' with us I'm sure..... whether it be a Lonely Planet, Rough Guide or Let's Go. And we stand out like a sore thumb!

Here's a tip for you that has really worked for me. Grab a local newspaper and cover your guide book. Not only does it help you fade into the crowd but I think makes a great souvenir and is a snapshot of the date you travelled! And it protects your book.
