Just wanted to let people know that Llama Path are awesome. There are a lot of Inca Trail companies out there so it can be hard to choose, but I would definitely recommend Llama Path. As well as having a great guide, our team of porters were amazing! Unlike other companies that we saw, our porters all had a uniform and they worked together as a team - other companies porters seem to walk the trail in ones or two's only, and don't have the team spirit that Llama Path do, which I think says lots about how well the porters are treated. This is important when you consider they are carrying 25kg each over 26miles at altitude! They were always singing, playing music and laughing and we had a blast with them - our last night was spent dancing and partying in the dining tent with the whole team.
Our guide was also brilliant, especially when one of my mates struggled with the altitude. He showed enormous empathy and patience and if it wasn't for him I'm not sure that my friend would have been able to complete the trail.
So all in all, I'm giving a huge recommendation to Llama Path.
