Of course the real highlight of being with SeaVentures is to dive at Pulau Sipidan. Giant green turtles, barracuda, nudibranches, octopus, Travelli, eels, and thousands of other kinds of sparkly and colourful fish; they all flock to Sipidan. Its one of the premier dive sites in the world. There are only about 120 diving permits per day split between all dive operators in the area and so advance booking with your operator is usually required to ensure you get to Sipidan. That said, Pulau Mabul has some wonders of its own including the flambouyant cuttle fish and a resident colony of cleaner shrimp who do discount manicures for brave divers. The SeaVentures rig also has a house dive under the rig where thousands of lion fish and stone fish have found residence, as the rig piles provide excellent camouflage. Be very careful! There are also pigmy seahorses for those with exceptional vision and a magnifying glass. The rig itself is comfortable but basic. You stay in the rooms of the former rig workers. Bath water is desalinated. All meals are included and the food is excellent and rejuvenating after a day of diving. The company is also top notch, the dive masters are all well trained and very knowledgeable, the rig staff are extremely friendly. You are never short of a conversation. Why go? Dont! I want to keep it all to myself!
