Standing 200 metres above Marina Bay on the roof of the world's most recognisable hotel, the SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands delivers one of the most dramatic urban panoramas in Southeast Asia. The view sweeps across the glittering bay, the colonial grid of the civic district, the greenery of Gardens by the Bay, and on clear days, the low coastline of Indonesia and Malaysia beyond.
It genuinely earns the spectacle.
The deck is open to non-hotel guests, but you'll need to pay a separate admission fee — around SGD 32 for adults at time of writing — and buy tickets online in advance, especially on weekends when queues at the counter can test your patience. You access the deck via Tower 3 lifts, which shoot you to Level 56 fast enough to leave your stomach a floor behind.
The platform wraps around three sides of the rooftop but does not include the famous infinity pool, which is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
Sunset is the most popular window for a reason — the city shifts from golden to neon in about twenty minutes, and the contrast is stunning. That said, mid-morning on a weekday gives you clear skies and far fewer elbows in your photos. The deck is exposed and windy, so a light layer is worth packing even in Singapore's heat.
There are a couple of bars up top if you want a drink with the view, though prices reflect the altitude.
Getting here is straightforward: Bayfront MRT station on the Circle and Downtown lines puts you at the hotel's doorstep in minutes. Book your timed entry slot online ahead of your visit, particularly if you're aiming for the golden hour.
