Day one takes you from Hobart north to Cradle Mountain National Park. You'll walk around Dove Lake—an easy circuit with mountain views—and keep eyes peeled for wombats grazing nearby. The pace is deliberate, not rushed. Day two heads to Freycinet National Park where the Wineglass Bay walk rewards you with the bay's distinctive crescent shape. The trek is moderately steep but short; you can also stroll the lookout platform if you prefer. Finish with a dip at Honeymoon Bay and a seafood stop before heading back.
Good to know
You need moderate fitness for the Wineglass Bay hike. Bring swimmers and sunscreen. Accommodation and meals aren't included—book your own hotel the night between days. Prams and infant seats available; infants must sit on an adult's lap during transport.
