Skip the southern beaches for two days chasing mantas around Nusa Lembongan and Penida. We'll collect you from your Bali hotel, ferry you across to the islands, bed you down overnight, then send you snorkelling at Manta Point and Crystal Bay—two of the region's richest reefs. What to expect
A minibus collects you early from your hotel and drives to Sanur. You'll board a speedboat with fellow snorkellers for the crossing to Lembongan—roughly 30 minutes depending on conditions. Check into your accommodation, then rest. Day two starts before dawn. You'll motor out to either Manta Point or Crystal Bay (or both, depending on conditions), slip into the water, and spend an hour watching rays glide past. After surfacing, there's a second session at another site. Lunch arrives on the boat. You'll return to the dive centre, freshen up, and catch the late-afternoon speedboat back to Sanur, where transport whisks you home by evening.
Good to know
Moderate fitness required—conditions can be choppy and visibility varies seasonally. The extra fee for Manta Point (300,000 Rp per person) isn't included in the base price. Underwater camera rental is available but photos cost extra. Not suitable if you have spinal issues, heart concerns, or are pregnant.
