About this tour
A two-day loop from Perth through Western Australia's Coral Coast, taking in Kalbarri National Park's dramatic sandstone formations, the Pinnacles, and the seasonal Pink Lake. You'll stay one night inland, travel by small coach with a local guide, and tuck into fresh rock lobster. Best suited to those with solid fitness levels who can handle variable remote accommodation and patchy mobile coverage. Departs Mondays from central Perth hotels.
Highlights
- Kalbarri National Park's jagged stone columns and clifftop vistas
- Nature's Windows and Skywalk viewpoints over gorges
- Pink Lake's colour shift driven by temperature and algae blooms
- Western Australian rock lobster dinner included
- Small-group coach (max 11 passengers) with commentary throughout
What to expect
You'll collect from your Perth CBD hotel before dawn and head north-east towards Kalbarri, stopping at major formations en route. Expect several walks—some steep, some scrambling over rocks—to reach viewpoints and lookouts. The Pink Lake appearance depends entirely on season and heat; summer visits may show mostly salt pan rather than vivid pink water. Your overnight accommodation is simple but comfortable, with basic WiFi unsuitable for streaming. Day two retraces part of the route with different stops before returning to Perth by evening. Much of each day involves driving through quiet inland terrain.
Good to know
Bring sturdy walking shoes, sun protection, and a light jacket. Store large luggage at your hotel; only day bags allowed on the coach. Confirm your pickup hotel's postcode falls within 6000–6005 range and notify the operator seven days ahead. Not suitable if you have spinal issues, cardiovascular limitations, or are pregnant. Mobile coverage is patchy; Telstra performs better than other networks.
