What to expect

Day one covers e-learning theory at your own pace, covering dive physics, safety protocols, and equipment use. Days two and three shift to the water. You'll start in confined conditions—a pool or sheltered bay—practising essential skills like breathing underwater, mask clearing, and buoyancy control with your instructor watching closely. Once confident, you'll move to open water dives at local sites, applying what you've learned in real reef or sandy environments. Expect a mix of classroom time, shallow practice, and genuine underwater exploration. The pace is manageable; instructors work to your comfort level.

Good to know

You must be at least 10 years old and a reasonably confident swimmer. Avoid diving within 18 hours of flying. Complete a health questionnaire beforehand—certain conditions like asthma, heart issues, or spinal injuries may disqualify you, so check with your doctor. Not suitable if pregnant or with cardiovascular concerns. Gratuities are separate.
