What to expect

You'll be collected from your accommodation and driven to the Sticky Waterfall, where a guide explains the geology before you wade and climb the cascading stream—slippery at first, then surprisingly grippy underfoot. After a change of clothes, you're shuttled to the rafting put-in. The Class 3–4 section hits harder than it sounds; guides navigate you through standing waves and rocks with shouts and quick paddle strokes. It's wet, chaotic, and over in about an hour. Lunch follows at a riverside spot. The bamboo float is the cool-down: you drift on a traditional raft through quiet water bordered by tall trees, occasionally spotting hornbills or kingfishers. The whole loop rounds back to town by late afternoon.

Good to know

Bring a towel and a dry bag for valuables. Moderate fitness is essential; spinal injuries, pregnancy, and poor heart health make this unsuitable. Infants must sit on a lap.
