What to expect
You'll board a private boat and head out into the Tyrrhenian Sea with a Positanese skipper at the helm. The morning (or afternoon) unfolds without rigid schedules—your captain chooses the best stops based on conditions and your interests, whether that's the Emerald Grotto, secret swimming spots, or quiet anchorages beneath towering limestone. Expect to spend roughly half the time moving along the coast spotting villages and geology, and half in the water or drifting at anchor. Snorkelling gear is ready; the seabed here is rocky and colourful. You're plied with water, cold drinks, beer, prosecco, and simple nibbles.
Good to know
The Emerald Grotto entry fee (around €8) is separate. Bring sun cream and a rash guard if you're fair-skinned. The boat has a toilet and handles infants in prams. No special fitness required. Book early in high season; late spring and early autumn offer the calmest seas.
