What to expect

After meeting your group, you'll head upwards through narrow old-town streets towards the tower entrance. Once inside, expect climbing—the tower has stairs, so a baseline fitness level helps. The Camera Obscura experience happens in a darkened chamber where an optical lens projects the live street scene onto a white table below, magnified and inverted; your guide explains how it worked centuries ago and what it reveals about the city's layout. From the open-air top, the panorama is genuinely extensive: you'll spot the cathedral, port, and residential quarters fanning outward. On the descent, you'll step onto a neighbour's rooftop terrace (a quirk of Cadiz's cramped geometry) where the group gathers for drinks and reflection.
