What to expect

Andrea collects you from your hotel in a compact, characterful Fiat 500 and drives south toward the city's ancient edges. You'll pause at viewpoints and historically significant spots whilst he frames shots using professional camera equipment. At the catacombs, you join a small supervised group descending into the narrow tunnels where early Christians buried their dead—tight spaces, low ceilings, carved chambers. The guide explains the inscriptions and burial practices. Afterwards, you continue to the aqueduct ruins in their dedicated park.
