What to expect
Five days of genuine outback exploration, not luxury touring. Expect a mix of 4WD driving on unsealed roads, moderate walks through gorges and ridgelines, and stops at heritage sites. You'll camp in remote areas where the landscape dominates—granite peaks, waterholes, spinifex scrub. Mornings bring wildlife spotting; afternoons, geological interpretation. The pace is unhurried but physically demanding: uneven terrain, variable weather, and basic facilities. Your guide will share local knowledge about the region's Aboriginal heritage, mining history, and the species that survive here.
