About this tour
Spend two hours in Florence learning to hand-stretch mozzarella, burrata and stracciatella from a trained cheesemaker, then taste your creations paired with Tuscan wines and seasonal dishes. You'll work in a small group of no more than 12, starting with a Prosecco welcome and finishing with the satisfaction of having made something genuinely delicious that you then get to eat.

What to expect
Arrive hungry. Your cheesemaker will show you the technique for warming and stretching curds into proper shape—it's messier and more physical than you'd expect, but straightforward once you get the hang of it. You'll make several varieties, each slightly different in texture and flavour. Between batches, you'll taste through a selection of Tuscan wines and nibble on seasonal plates designed to complement both the cheese and wine. The space is relaxed and music plays softly. By the end, you'll have eaten what you made and absorbed enough to actually understand mozzarella.
Good to know
Let the venue know in advance if you need vegetarian or gluten-free options. Prams and small children are welcome. Public transport stops are nearby if you're not driving. Wear something you don't mind getting cheese residue on.
