What to expect

Day one involves a morning drive from Hanoi, arrival in Sapa town, then a moderately strenuous downhill walk into Cat Cat village. You'll tour traditional homes, observe weavers and embroiderers at work, and reach the waterfall by afternoon. Day two takes you through rice paddies to Lao Chai and Ta Van, where you'll spend time in villages and witness how local people integrate with their landscape and seasonal cycles. Expect steep descents, uneven paths, and regular breaks. You'll eat lunch and breakfast at local spots or your hotel; water is provided throughout.

Good to know

Moderate fitness required; not suitable for spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy. Wear proper hiking boots, sun protection, and rain gear. The cable car to Fansipan's summit costs extra and isn't included. Infants must remain on an adult's lap during vehicle transfers.
