What to expect

You'll arrive and settle into Kingfisher Bay Resort, giving you a day to relax, swim, or wander the grounds before the proper touring begins. Days two and three are structured: your guide leads you across the island in a comfortable 4WD, stopping at the key spots K'gari is known for—think coloured sands, freshwater lakes, and coastal features. You'll stay one night at K'gari Beach Resort on the east coast to split the driving and maximise daylight exploring. Breakfast appears each morning; lunch happens during the day's drive. Your guide handles the commentary and route, leaving you to take in the landscape and wildlife. Days four and five are yours at Kingfisher Bay before heading back to Hervey Bay.

Good to know

Book your hotel pickup at least 48 hours ahead by phone—collection runs roughly two hours before departure. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and swimwear.
