What to expect

You'll launch from a central Sydney location and spend the morning paddling at a steady pace across open water. The route takes you past working docks and foreshore, then to the harbour's middle where your guide frames shots of you against the bridge's span. Expect to feel the tide and wind; your guide reads conditions and adjusts accordingly. Landing on Goat Island involves a controlled beach approach; you'll have 30–40 minutes ashore to explore rock pools, Aboriginal heritage markers, and views back towards the city. The return paddle follows a slightly different line through quieter waters. Moderate to strong paddling fitness is essential—this isn't a leisurely float.

Good to know

You must be a confident swimmer comfortable in open water, and weigh under 100kg. High cardiovascular fitness required; poor health, pregnancy, or spinal issues make this unsuitable. Minimum age 18.
