About this tour
A full-day freediving and snorkelling expedition from Koh Chang exploring two distinct marine zones: the submerged HTMS Chang warship and pristine Koh Rang National Park. Licensed freedivers must bring a buddy for safety, though guides are available for solo divers. The relaxed pace suits mixed-ability groups—divers, snorkellers, and non-water participants all share the same boat. Hotel transfers, meals, and kit included; runs year-round.
Highlights
- Explore the HTMS Chang shipwreck at depth
- Protected coral reefs and clear waters of Koh Rang
- Mix of freediving, snorkelling, and spectating on one trip
- Full equipment hire and three meals provided
- Buddy system ensures safe apnoea practice
- Spacious boat comfortable for all activity levels
What to expect
You'll depart from your accommodation early morning and spend the day aboard a working dive boat shared with snorkellers and casual observers. If you're a certified freediver with a buddy, you'll receive a safety briefing on deck before descending. The boat visits either the wreck site or national park depending on conditions—both offer good visibility and structure. Between dives, there's time to rest on deck, eat lunch, and socialise with other travellers. Non-diving companions can snorkel the same sites or simply enjoy the boat experience. The crew manages logistics; your role is to dive safely with your partner.
Good to know
National park fees are separate. Freedivers must arrive with an assigned buddy—solo divers can hire a guide. Mixed groups work well here: everyone eats together, but activity levels vary. Inform the operator of dietary needs when booking. Wheelchair access available throughout.
