A 30km mountain bike loop starting from Como that climbs into Spina Verde park, crosses into Switzerland, and descends through Merlot vineyards. What to expect
Expect a proper workout. The first hour pushes uphill through forested terrain to reach Spina Verde's ridge, where you'll pause to walk among preserved WWI defensive structures carved into the hillside. The riding remains technical—rooty descents, tight switchbacks, narrow ridge traverses—so bike handling matters as much as legs. Mid-route, you'll cross into Switzerland and reach a second scenic platform before a long descent funnels you into vineyard country. Final kilometres flatten considerably along the lakeshore back to Como, giving your legs a chance to recover.

You need genuine mountain bike fitness—this isn't a cruise. Bring a current passport for the border crossing. Rental bikes available if you don't have your own. Minimum height 150cm for ebikes.
