What to expect

After browsing a local supermarket to understand ingredient options, you'll move to the kitchen. The instructor guides you through constructing okonomiyaki layer by layer—vegetables, proteins, noodles—then demonstrates the satisfying flip technique using proper implements. You'll make multiple passes to achieve the right texture. Gyoza follows: rolling, pleating, and pan-frying until golden and crispy. Expect some heat from the cooktop and active hands-on work throughout. By the end, you sit down to eat your creations whilst the instructor explains regional variations and cooking secrets.

Good to know
