What to expect

The course combines classroom theory, confined water drills and open water dives. Your instructor will walk you through fundamental skills—breathing underwater, buoyancy control, emergency procedures—in shallow water before venturing into the protected marine zone. Expect hands-on practice across four days, with time both in the water and reviewing techniques. You'll complete certification dives that demonstrate competency, working at your own pace. The Capo Carbonara site offers clear Mediterranean conditions ideal for learning, with marine life and seabed features adding genuine context to your training.

Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns; check with your doctor first. Service animals are welcome. Public transport reaches the area easily. Bring your own wetsuit if you have one. Photos aren't included—arrange separately if you want evidence of your dives.
