What to expect
You'll meet your guide at dawn and travel by comfortable vehicle to Port Douglas marina. The boat departs early to reach outer reef sites before crowds arrive. Expect two to three guided dives across the day, with surface intervals for recovery and lunch. Your guide navigates you through coral gardens, drop-offs, and bommies, pointing out reef fish, rays, turtles, and macro life. The pace is steady but unhurried—this isn't a rush. You'll return to shore mid-afternoon, tired and salt-soaked.
Good to know
Certification card required. Moderate fitness needed for boat handling and multiple dives. Seasickness tablets recommended for sensitive stomachs. BYO towel or rent one. Alcoholic drinks not included—bring your own if you wish. Book well ahead in peak season.
