What to expect
You'll board in the morning and head out along one of Italy's most dramatic coastlines. The boat stops at three or four distinct locations—some busy with day-trippers, others quiet and rocky. Each stop lasts 45 minutes to an hour; bring a light rash vest if you're sensitive to sun. The skipper handles all navigation and will point out geological features and local lore. Bring a packed lunch unless you've arranged otherwise. Drinks and nibbles arrive mid-morning and afternoon. Water temperature varies by season; May to September is warmest.
Good to know
Depart from Portofino marina early morning. Bring sun protection, a hat, and a light jumper for cooler sea breezes. The boat is suitable for most fitness levels and accessible for wheelchairs with assistance. Swimming is optional; non-swimmers can stay aboard. Book lunch in advance if needed.
